On non-citizens voting....

By Elliott Hirsch www.americanthinker.com

One of the things that everyone is discussing this election cycle is non-citizens voting in federal elections. Some folks (“progressives,” Democrats, various “wok”' types, and leftists) claim that it does not occur. Or, if it does, it’s extremely rare and is so insignificant that it does not affect election outcomes.

These arguments are false. First of all, no serious audits have even been conducted on elections (of which I’m aware). This is an absurdity as every single ballot that is cast can be matched to a registered voter — and should be. The voter can be contacted to verify that they did cast a ballot. Random sampling can easily show if it is a problem. However, the same folks arguing that it does not happen have blocked every attempt to clean up voter rolls and require ID. Funny coincidence. Every illegal and/or fraudulent vote nullifies a valid one, and in races where the margins are tight, this is of the utmost importance. Everyone knows this, so the arguments are disingenuous at best.

Recently, there have been many court battles and stories in the news about non-citizens being removed from the voter rolls. In most cases the numbers are suspiciously low and any reasonable person could conclude that they are a fig leaf, done only for the purpose of being able to say that something was done as opposed to a serious effort.

Anecdotal and physical evidence as to the magnitude of this problem has been growing. My personal experience with this dates back to 2000 when Bush was running against Snore. At that time I was working in technology management and one of my employees was a naturalized U.S. citizen. His wife, a German, was not, though she did have a green card. Even though she had been in the U.S. for over 10 years, she did not become a citizen — in fact she loudly proudly proclaimed that she was not a U.S. citizen. She, like lots of Euro-lefties, despised the USA due to her objections to many American policies and institutions. Like many Germans at the time, she solidly embraced a socialist agenda and so was all in for the Democrat party. To her, conservatives were the root of all evil and the solution was an East German type of nanny state; proof that national socialism is a leftist phenomenon. Thankfully, it seems that the European Gen Z and millennials are rejecting that illness.

Most of the time when she would launch into her diatribes, folks ignored her, but that changed when the election season began. She was enraged that Bush was running against Gore and loudly declared that “I am going to vote for Gore” and started to exhort everyone to do the same.

Knowing that she was not a citizen I finally confronted her about voting. At first she said that it was not illegal. With just a little research I was able to prove her wrong. That didn’t matter; she laughed it off and told me that she had voted in every election since she got her green card.

With several adult beverages in her, she proceeded to gleefully outline her participation over more than a decade. But the worst part came when she added that every non-citizen that she knew (and it was several hundred) also voted in most major elections too.

I was horrified and I know several others in earshot were as well. Many of them also told her it was illegal and wrong. Her response was the same that we hear today from many leftists: the result is what is important and they are morally obligated to do it by any means necessary. The end justifies the means.

I was outraged. I told her that if she voted, I would report her. In those days, it was still taken a bit seriously and was a real threat. Felony convictions could result in a deportation and a revocation of her green card status. Nowadays? I probably would have had a thousand Antifa rioting at my home and she would be an instant hero to the lefties. Non-citizens and illegal aliens now get away with murder (literally) and certainly have no reason to fear criminal proceedings.

That type of activity was occurring in 2000, which means it’s certainly occurring today in much larger amounts. It’s pretty clear that these votes do not reflect conservative values and even if they do become citizens, they probably vote the same as they did when they did so illegally.

It is disingenuous to believe that the government does not know who is and who is not a citizen in the United States. Almost every person born here has a birth certificate, which is registered, and everyone is issued a social security number. Despite leftist claims to the contrary, everyone can easily get a photo ID. You must have one to drive, work, buy alcohol or tobacco, rent anything, stay at a hotel, etc., etc., etc. The list is almost endless. Photo ID is a fact of life. Period.

Common sense says that if photo ID were required to register and vote, there would be no fake, duplicate or illegal votes cast. And the results could be audited for accuracy to prevent harvesting and other travesties.

With over 25 million illegals and the “legal” parolees (Haitians, H1B, etc.) we probably have approximately 40 to 50 million folks living in the United States who are not eligible to vote in elections. If only 10% vote, that is 5 million votes or an average of 100,000 votes per state. More than enough to throw the election in many states.

Recent news stories have shown that states that are seriously cleaning up their voter rolls have been removing tens of thousands of erroneous voter registrations, so clearly there are quite a bit of fake, duplicate, and illegal voters registered.

Any logical person can see this, so why do the progressives continue with their narratives? Are they really that stupid or do they think we are? Obviously, it is because the corruption benefits them. Hopefully, it will be addressed early in the next administration or we will be doomed to repeat the same flawed and broken results that have plagued us for at least a quarter of a century.

Getting close to the General Election is a time where nothing political candidates say can be trusted. They flip back and forth time and again. These are definitely troubled times.

Nebraska Senate Candidate Dan Osborn Called Trump 'Embarrassing' and 'Incompetent.' Now He Wants To Help Build the Border Wall.

Susannah Luthi October 29, 2024 freebeacon.com

'I'm where President Trump is on corruption, China, the border,' Osborn says.

Dan Osborn spent the year criticizing Donald Trump in his quest to flip Nebraska's reliably red Senate seat. But in the final days of his campaign, the independent candidate is suddenly embracing the former president—even promising to help him build a border wall.

"I'm where President Trump is on corruption, China, the border. If Trump needs help building the wall, well, I'm pretty handy," Osborn says in a TV ad released in late October.

Osborn, a union leader, in the ad casts his Trump-supporting opponent, Republican senator Deb Fischer, as among the "career politicians" who "tried to stop Trump, just like they're trying to stop me."

In a second ad, self-described Trump voters likewise claim that "Osborn's with Trump on China, the border, and draining the swamp" and that Fischer "has more in common with Hillary Clinton than Donald Trump."

Osborn's sudden self-proclaimed alignment with the former president comes as polls show his race with Fischer tightening to a 1-point deficit in a state where Trump is widely popular and enjoys a more than 16-point lead over Vice President Kamala Harris, according to FiveThirtyEight. Osborn has already acknowledged that he has to "peel off some conservatives" to win an election that could determine which party controls the Senate.

"He obviously needs Trump voters to win," said Alex Conant, a GOP consultant with Firehouse Strategies. "He is only going to win if he significantly outperforms Harris. Blurring the lines between him and the Republican candidate can help him appeal to Trump voters."

Derek Oden, Fischer's campaign manager, dismissed Osborn's latest advertised claims.

"If Dan Osborn wants to help President Trump build a border wall, why is Dan voting for Kamala Harris and supporting amnesty for illegals?" Oden said. "Dan is lying to Nebraskans, just like he's lying about being an independent."

Osborn's ads mark a drastic turn after spending months criticizing Trump. The New York Times described Osborn as "befuddled" on how to talk about the presidential election during an interview. He ultimately distanced himself from both Trump and President Joe Biden, describing them as "old" and "incompetent."

"There's a good chance I won't vote for president," Osborn told the paper in February.

In an April podcast appearance, he likewise mused whether Trump and Biden were really "the best our country can come up with."

In June, he said he had repudiated Trump altogether. The former president "lost Osborn for good" after Trump criticized John McCain ahead of the 2016 election, the Fremont Tribune reported in June following an interview with the Senate candidate. Osborn also told the Nebraska newspaper that Trump's 2016 presidential debate appearances were "embarrassing" and said he was "not happy with either of our choices."

Osborn's support for a border wall also marks a shift in talking points. Last month, he told Semafor that at least some illegal immigrants should be able to get Social Security cards. In a follow-up interview with an Omaha channel, Osborn said he believes illegal immigrants should have a "clear path … to become documented or become legal status."

Throughout his campaign to win over deep-red Nebraska, Osborn has portrayed himself as an independent, an image he has tried to hammer hard in the final stretch. But his campaign has deep ties to liberals and progressives. While acknowledging in an audio recording obtained by the Washington Examiner that he needed to win over conservatives, Osborn also professed to "love" socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.).

One ad supporting Osborn described him as a "lifelong independent," but the candidate told the Times he was a Democrat until 2016. The Washington, D.C.-based PAC that funded the spot, Retire Career Politicians, has been bankrolled by left-wing dark money groups, including the Sixteen Thirty Fund.

And of nearly 200 donors who recently contributed more than $1,000, adding up to almost $400,000, just 6 were Nebraskans. Many lived in Washington, D.C., California, and Massachusetts. Saikat Chakrabarti, a former chief of staff to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) and cofounder of Justice Democrats, also contributed $6,600, the maximum allowed.

Early on in his campaign, Osborn retained the consulting firm Bread and Roses, which shares a name with a Democratic Socialists of America caucus. The firm is managed by former staffers for Sanders, Ocasio-Cortez, and Reps. Cori Bush (D., Mo.) and Ro Khanna (D., Calif.).

Osborn's campaign did not respond to a request for comment.

All it takes is a General Election to bring out the total disgusting words of some politicians. What has this once great Republic become? It's total insanity!

'Open the F—ing Border': Vulnerable Ohio Dem Sherrod Brown's Staffer Says Demands for Secure Border Rooted in 'Pure Racism'

Matthew Xiao October 28, 2024 freebeacon.com

A Democratic staffer who has campaigned for Sen. Sherrod Brown and other vulnerable Ohio Democrats was caught on video demanding open borders and claiming that voters’ opposition to illegal immigration stems from "pure racism," Fox News reported Monday.

"Open the f—ing border, I don’t give a s—t who comes in here," the staffer, identified as Kevin Oyakawa, told a volunteer. "We don’t need border patrol, but the issue with even talking about immigration here in Ohio is that it’s a losing issue for Democrats here, for like no f—ing reason other than people’s pure racism."

Oyakawa has worked on campaigns for Brown, Ohio Rep. Emilia Sykes, and other down ballot Democratic candidates, according to his Facebook posts. Photos on social media show him canvassing for Brown and Sykes, Fox News reported.

Both Brown and Sykes are facing tough reelection bids, with recent polls indicating that GOP candidates Bernie Moreno and Kevin Coughlin have taken slight leads over Brown and Sykes, respectively.

Oyakawa, discussing Sykes’s ambiguous stance on immigration in the video, noted that "if she has to start talking about immigration, she starts losing."

Oyakawa’s now-deleted LinkedIn profile listed him as a regional organizing director for the Ohio Democratic Party, while he described himself on Facebook as "responsible for leading a team of field organizers on day to day operations of the campaign" and "just another guy who is active in the Resistance."

Brown and Sykes's Republican challengers slammed Oyakawa's comments.

"Sherrod Brown's staff is saying the quiet part out loud: Ohio Democrats would rather keep the border open and continue to allow millions of illegals to enter our nation rather than secure the border and protect our communities," said Reagan McCarthy, communications director for Moreno.

Coughlin, a former Ohio state senator, echoed the criticism, accusing Sykes and her team of having "no remorse" for Ohio communities "suffering from fentanyl and crime flowing over our borders."

Voting is one of the most important actions a citizen of the U. S. A. can do! Yet, Party politics has weaponized it to accomplish their evil deeds.

Are non-citizens voting? A fact check suggests they could be

By Living Overseas www.americanthinker.com

The integrity of America’s electoral system seems to rely on ne’er-do-wells having the decency not to falsify a citizenship voting form. However, we know that, on American soil, America has 20 million illegals who clearly have no moral compunction with breaking the law for entry, so fraudulently signing a piece of paper would be no impediment to them.

That fact alone baffles me when it comes to the SCOTUS holding that other states have no standing in questioning state voting procedures. This is especially true when you look at what California has done regarding non-citizen voting, which can clearly affect the entire nation.

Democrats regularly deny that illegal aliens registering to vote in the upcoming election. And why should they? Illegal alien voting is a ridiculous proposition. No society could be that stupid. Just as we don’t give life-changing, decision-making powers to children, we don’t give it to strangers...or at least we haven’t for the previous 200,000 years. Surely, the claim that strangers to America are voting is just panic-mongering. Right-wing, white supremacy scare tactics.

Or maybe it’s not.

I am not an American citizen, and I live “overseas.” Lately, there have been many advertisements telling Americans to vote via the “Vote from Abroad” system. The system seems to have been developed mainly for the military but also for those citizens working or living overseas. I’m told it skews heavily towards the Democrats, and the following may be why.

In the interests of journalistic inquiry and truth-telling, I tried an experiment. I have spent time in L.A. and Pittsburgh, so I applied under the online overseas voting system in both states, California and Pennsylvania.

The process was quite easy. Identify your “home” state, and that takes you to that particular state’s application. I just needed an address and a willingness to state (falsely) that I am a citizen. Other information is requested but there is no prohibition at the application level if you don’t enter a social security number or something specific.

My L.A. address was a Mexican tequila bar, and my Pittsburgh address was a performance venue. Neither were places where someone would normally live.

Interestingly, during both application processes, I was asked if I was a Republican, Democrat, or Independent. I went unaffiliated, and the screen immediately asked me if I wanted to join “Democrats Abroad,” an apparent bias built into the government website software for both states.

Los Angeles went through without a hitch. I now have a VID and Record number card from the County Clerk. My ballot materials arrived in the same package and, shortly afterward, a large booklet with “Official Voter Information” running some 144 pages.

So, I am allowed to vote in California.

Pittsburgh was going similarly. I was registered and awaiting documents by mail. However, about ten days later, I received a notice from the state telling me that a review showed that I hadn’t provided sufficient identification information. I was asked to provide more information, with the suggestion that I use a passport number or driver’s license. One would have thought that a passport would have been the primary document reference required for overseas citizens to identify themselves. However, neither state required that passport information.

As a swing state, it is good that Pennsylvania is more careful than California, but the system is appallingly flawed. If I’d thought about this earlier, I would have tried every state. One would hope and expect California to be the most lax in this regard.
