The frenzied, disordered American left
From gas prices to Lindsay Clancy, the left is out of control.

If the 2026 midterm campaigns have brought anything to light, it's the chaotic, two-faced nature of the now-Marxist left.We know that they will go to any lengths to protect illegal migrants, no matter how violent. No matter how many crimes they commit, they release them onto the streets of their sanctuary cities and blame ICE for any injuries incurred when these illegal criminals attempt to flee rather than submit to law enforcement.
So, there can be no doubt that our so-called progressives care more for these invaders than they do Americans. Proof of this phenomenon is their contempt for anyone who opposes our now-secure borders, deportations of those here illegally, and those who opposed the billions of taxpayer dollars that have gone to the massive fraud committed by migrants, particularly among the Somalis across the country.
Today, the left is crying and whining about gas and diesel prices.
This is actually hilarious.
For decades, they have wanted gas prices to be high to force drivers off the roads. Former Energy Secretary Steven Chu, under the Obama administration, publicly called for higher gas prices, as they have in Europe, where gas at the pump in some countries runs at $9 or $10 a gallon.
They have tried to orchestrate this goal with their global warming/climate change hoax. For decades, they have opposed fossil fuels.
California refineries have closed, so gas prices here are higher than anywhere else in the country. In San Diego, a gallon of regular at one station not near the airport will set you back $8.59.
They vehemently opposed fracking, which, thankfully, has gone a long way to reducing gas prices.
They are enraged by the military action against the tyrannous regime in Iran that has for nearly fifty years vowed “death to America” and developed a nuclear program in hopes of carrying out that threat.
The war was begun to end that regime’s nuclear plans and its former control of the Strait of Hormuz.
Since June, they have collected billions of dollars in illegal tolls in international waters.
The leftists hate fossil fuels but complain bitterly when the prices rise to the levels they have long hoped they would.
The Lindsay Clancy trial is another case in point. The women on that jury were, by their own account, feminist activists who lobbied for Clancy to be found not guilty of killing her three young children due to her claim of postpartum psychosis. Clancy had very carefully planned and carried out the murders, surviving her jump from a second-story window. Her first words when she awoke were to say she needed a lawyer. Only one sane, principled man serving on a jury kept this murderer in the institution where she has resided since the murders.
It remains to be seen if she will be retried. She certainly should be. But while the trial was ongoing, she amassed a tribe of activist women defending her right to kill her kids if she was severely depressed. That just is not how the world is supposed to work. We are living in an upside-down world.
Then there is the seriously pernicious incident at Cornell. Even though most universities, especially the Ivies, have long promoted sexual promiscuity, like what took place that night in 2024. They sponsor things like “sex week.” They put up banners urging students to find their “sweet spot.” They disperse pamphlets advising all manner of sexual “freedom” long espoused by feminists from the days of Betty Friedan and Gloria Steinem.
Is it any wonder that Jane Doe believed that orgies like the one at Cornell are acceptable? That they are normal? Jane Doe’s own account of that night certainly indicates she thought it was all well and good and had no concept of the cost -- her self-respect?
Imagine the shock the parents of today’s college students would feel about the promotion of abject immorality within those little manuals. After years of feminist preaching sexual freedom, instructions and advice from the likes of wicked women like Alex Cooper of Who’s Your Daddy, these mistresses of sex advice now act shocked! Shocked! And furious at what they hear of what occurred at that frat party when they have been promoting exactly such “sexual freedom” for years and years.
The TikTokers, of course, blame Trump.
The hysteria of the week among those same, tough, equal-to-men feminists is a joke told by comic Shane Gillis on SNL about how women dress at the gym. He used the word whore. It wasn’t particularly funny because women have dressed in tight-fitting workout clothes forever. Short shorts are de rigueur. From the left’s meltdown, one would think he had announced he was pro-life and pro-Trump.
That would certainly get their rage juices flowing. These women and their submissive male defenders most definitely want everything not only both ways but every way, depending on their political purposes of the moment. Right now, it serves their purpose to be outraged at everything, any little joke, any scandal they can use against conservatives, however irrational it may be. They author their own debasement.
So, they pretend to be outraged by high gas prices despite their hatred of fossil fuels, the Cornell debauchery despite decades of promoting that kind of behavior, a stupid joke that would offend no one in a normal course of events.
But our left is so Trump-deranged, they pounce on anything, no matter how irrelevant, if they can find a way to blame Trump. Social media denizens can find a way to blame him and his supporters for anything they think they can use against him, no matter how ludicrous or far-fetched.
The left studiously ignores the damage Obama and Biden did to this country and blames Trump for the consequences of their folly. Obama engineered the division between blacks and whites just as they were disappearing. Biden’s maladministration created the invasion of 20+m migrants that took jobs from Americans, raised housing costs to accommodate the influx, and generated the high costs of everything else as regulations on fossil fuels tightened.
Biden essentially allowed Putin to invade Ukraine by suggesting a small incursion would be O.K. with him.
The Biden administration was the most tyrannical in U.S. history. Thousands of conservatives were surveilled, punished, harassed, etc.
Trump was relentlessly persecuted by leftist DAs and AGs and Biden’s DOJ.
Parents who showed up at school board meetings were hounded, and even arrested, for expressing complaints.
Transgenderism was aggressively promoted, including the mutilation of young children, as was the inclusion of boys' and girls’ sports, defying common sense.
All of which was and remains counter to basic American values. If this left takes the House and Senate, the country will decline so fast, our heads will spin.
