Consequences of Illegal Immigration - Illegal Entry to Medical Bankruptcy

Greetings CCII Supporters & Friends,
Americans have been coping with the tragic consequences of a silent invasion of illegal aliens for literally decades. Most but no all are illegal border violations across our southern border with Mexico. The CBP Agency is doing all it can to prevent violators from nearly every continent on the planet from entering illegally. Many are criminals or terrorists who plan to do us harm in one fashion or another. Most flee a nation replete with violence, gangs or poverty. Their desire is to partake of what Americans have worked hard for, sacrificed much and hold dear for themselves and their families.
Those in the country illegally now have a new form of competition. It is in the form of thousands of recent Utah residents with refugee status. Michael Johnson, Executive Director of Utah Hotel & Lodging Association had this to say, "I don't know whether any hotels have found a difference between (the two groups) as workers, but I think hotels would, at this point, be likely to hire a refugee and very unlikely to hire somebody who's illegal," Johnson said. "The demographic has changed."
One of the significant differences between the illegal alien worker and refugee worker is that each refugee arrives in Utah with the involvement of international relief organizations and the U. S. State Department. The refugee arrives with short-term financial and health benefits, a caseworker and permission to work. In other words, the refugee is in the country legally.
California is no longer known as the land of golden opportunities. It suffers a $25 billion deficit, recently evicted thousands of criminals from state penal institutions because they cannot afford to retain them. California hospitals are suffering financial short falls and health services for illegal aliens account for $1.25 billion annually of uncompensated care. Emergency Medical Treatment & Active Labor Act (EMTALA) a federal mandate requires hospitals to provide emergency care to all patients, regardless of immigration status. Federal reimbursement is non-existent.
State, County and City governments continue to suffer with unfunded national mandates and we have a Federal government continuing to spend like a drunken sailor with an expired credit card.
Best Regards,
