Consider the most devastating example of the destruction of our 'once great Republic' - it is the failed immigration policies of the Biden Administration!

 Biden’s border disinformation

by Conn Carroll, Commentary Editor August 21, 2023 Washingtonexaminer.com

Southwest land border encounters rose in July to 183,503, far higher than the 40,929 from President Donald Trump’s last July in office. Since March of 2021, every month of the Biden administration has seen more border encounters than the worst month of Trump’s entire presidency.

The Biden administration again blamed “disinformation” from “smugglers” for the continued high volume of illegal border crossings, and to be sure, smugglers are not always honest with the migrants that pay them to get across the border.

But is it really “disinformation” from “smugglers” that is causing the influx of migrants from around the world under Biden’s watch, or is it perfectly accurate information from migrants who have already made the journey?

The Associated Press published an article last Friday that sheds some light on the subject:

Aissata Sall was scrolling through WhatsApp in May when she first learned about the new route to the United States. For Ibrahima Sow, the discovery came on TikTok a few weeks later.

By the time their paths crossed at the tidy one-story brick house in Cincinnati, they had encountered hundreds of other Mauritanians, nearly all of them following a new path surging in popularity among younger migrants from the West African nation, thanks largely to social media.

New path to the United States. How does it work?

The spike in migration was made possible by the discovery this year of a new route through Nicaragua, where relaxed entry requirements allow Mauritanians and a handful of other foreign nationals to purchase a low-cost visa without proof of onward travel.

OK. Nicaragua is letting migrants in. But then how do they get into the United States?

Many Mauritanians enter the U.S. in Yuma, Arizona. Some are dropped off on a Mexican highway by smugglers for a roughly two-hour walk through a knee-deep river and flat desert shrub and rocks. They surrender to Border Patrol agents in Yuma waiting under stadium lights where a wall built during Donald Trump’s presidency abruptly ends. After a period of detention and screening that could last hours or days, they may enter the country to await a court date, a process that can take years.

So the “new route” to the United States doesn’t mean sneaking into the country past Border Patrol, it means getting purposefully arrested by Border Patrol so they will then release you into the United States with a promise to appear in court later.

It is this knowledge, the knowledge that if Biden’s Border Patrol arrests you, you will be released into the United States and not returned to Mexico, that is driving migration from Mauritania and indeed the rest of the world.

Again, from the Associated Press:

The influx of Mauritanians has surprised officials in the U.S. It came without a triggering event — such as a natural disaster, coup or sudden economic collapse — suggesting the growing power of social media to reshape migration patterns: From March to June, more than 8,500 Mauritanians arrived in the country by crossing the border illegally from Mexico, up from just 1,000 in the four months prior, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection data.

Oh there was a “triggering event” that is causing mass migration from around the world into the United States all right. It was the election of Joe Biden and the implementation of his catch-and-release policies on the border.

If Biden’s Border Patrol stopped releasing migrants into the country, the word would quickly spread around the world on social media and Biden’s border crisis would quickly end.
