Our Republic is At Stake! Vote Right in Person!

Will America Die Or Thrive? An Open Letter To The American People

9/28/2020 - Jake Hoffman Townhall.com

2020 isn’t a normal year and it certainly isn’t a normal election. You see, normal elections are marked by Democrats attempting to buy votes with an endless array of government handouts, freebies, special interest priorities, or any number of other big government promises.

Historically in a normal election year, the Republican message has been focused, in large part, on simply counter-messaging the Democrats’ false promises. In the past this has left Republicans appearing milquetoast and created a scenario where the Democrat-controlled media could force national Republicans into a defensive position, rendering them poorly equipped to offensively control the narrative.

But 2020 is not a normal election year. 2020 is about something so much more than “winning” an election. The stakes are higher than they’ve ever been before and we all know it. We can feel it.

At its core, 2020 is about protection. Sadly, it’s about protecting the American people from Democrat riots, looting, and violence, not to mention the attempts by countless Democrats all over the country to defund our police departments. And while 2020 is literally about protecting our communities from political violence, it’s also about protecting our freedom, opportunities and prosperity.

After nearly a decade of Democrat rule under the Obama-Biden administration—an administration wrought with feckless, uninspiring leadership, economic stagnation, and apathetic, if not non-existent, national aspirations—the Democrats have spent the last three and a half years doubling down on their strategy of division. Day after day, Democrats have sought to make the American people feel weak, unimportant and unexceptional.

2020 isn’t a normal election year because the American people are fed up. This election is about being inspired again. It’s about being aspirational once again. It’s about believing in the greatness, benevolence, diversity and strength of the greatest nation on earth. It’s about a great American revitalization.

The lines have never been more clearly drawn. 2020 is the battle between freedom and socialism. Law and order and anarchy. High quality education for our children and highly politicized education. Protecting life and celebrating the destruction of life. A patient/doctor focused healthcare system and a government micro-managed one. Lower taxes and higher taxes. Justice for all and double standards for the favored elites. American strength and American subservience.

2020 is about protecting and preserving the American dream for generations to come.

This election cycle, Americans are looking for leaders like the greats of generations past—the Kings, the Reagans, the Lincolns—who will speak boldly, who will speak truthfully, and who will speak inspiringly about the nation that we love so deeply, while helplessly feeling it slip away.

COVID-19 has taught many of our fellow countrymen that even those leaders whom they thought could be trusted with the duty of protecting them can no longer be relied upon.

The onslaught of misinformation and outright lies from a media fixated on the destruction of the one man standing between everyday hardworking Americans and the jackboot of government has taught many to question everything and believe nothing.

Yet despite the growing cynicism, Americans want to be united in a common purpose, a common cause and a common spirit of exceptionalism.

Amidst the chaos of the events of this year, and as we watch the election unfolding in front of us, it is imperative that we reflect and remember our history. This nation was divinely inspired and it will be divinely revitalized.

Just like Esther in the Scripture, our founding fathers were placed in their exact time and place in history to do God’s will and found this great nation that has done more to achieve peace, opportunity and prosperity for the world than any people since God spoke this earth to life.

So too, God has placed each of us—each of you—in a time such as this to do His will.

God has gifted each of us with the exact skillset necessary to speak boldly, truthfully, and inspiringly in these dark times. God has called each of us to preserve and defend the freedom and liberty with which He has bestowed on the people of this nation.

As we answer His calling in the coming days, do so with the passion and conviction that comes from knowing you are on the winning side of history.

The American people—our families, our neighbors, our coworkers, our fellow countrymen—are looking for leaders who will defend us from the uncertainty, chaos, mayhem, and turmoil that seems, at times, to surround us.

America needs leaders who will steady the waters and remove the clouds of despair Democrats have created for their own selfish, political gain. It’s up to you, everyday Americans, to be those leaders.

It’s up to you to keep America free. To keep America prosperous. To keep America safe. To keep America strong. And to keep America great for this generation and the next.

2020 is not a normal election year. Failure is not an option.

Democrats -- No Limits on Hypocricy

Democrats: Quick to Blame Others for their Own Crimes and Behaviors

9/25/2020 - Jeff Davidson Townhall.com

Now that the dust has relatively settled on President Trump’s commutation of Roger Stone’s sentence, it’s worth examining the issue of clemency and what the previous eight presidents have done prior to President Trump.

Vocabulary 101

Clemency refers to a variety of options – including commutation, pardons, remissions, and respites – that the president can grant to an individual or to a group. Clemency bestowed based on an executive order, such as that exercised by Jimmy Carter or by Gerald Ford, can forgive the crimes of hundreds or thousands of people in one fell swoop.

Commutation is the complete or partial reduction of the sentence for those already in prison, on parole, or on community supervision. A commutation makes no assertion of innocence or guilt but serves nevertheless to relieve a convicted party of either incarceration time, associated fines, or other penalties.

Pardons, on the other hand, not only forgive past crimes, but they also restore civil rights, including the right to vote. A pardon offers exoneration of a crime and any fines or any other penalties imposed upon an individual.

A remission, sparingly employed, decreases a financial penalty levied as a result of a conviction. A respite offers a temporary reprieve, primarily granted to an inmate for some medical reason.

Pouncing on the Case

Democrats were quick to pounce on the case of Roger Stone. They claimed that Trump offered commutation to Stone solely as a reward for remaining silent and not offering testimony that could incriminate the president for collusion with Russia. In other words, the Democrats are still on the Russiagate witch-hunt.

Nearing four years, the total number of pardons and commutations President Trump has issued is 38. To put that number in the context, how many did Barack Obama dole out during his eight years in office? By the time he left office, Obama granted clemency to more individuals convicted for federal crimes than any other president in the last 64 years.

As Obama neared the end of his second term, he became increasingly forgiving. In 2016 alone, he offered clemency 589 times including six pardons and 583 commutations. In all, he issued 212 pardons and 1715 commutations for a total clemency figure of 1927.

And the other presidents? George W. Bush pardoned 189 and commuted 11 for a total of 200 cases of clemency. Bill Clinton offered clemency to 459 individuals. George H.W. Bush, in his four years, was most parsimonious in offering clemency, at only 77 times. Ronald Reagan in eight years offered clemency 406 times, Jimmy Carter 560 times, Gerald Ford 409 times, and Richard Nixon 926 times.

Reflexively Accusative

Beyond the contention that Roger Stone was shielding Donald Trump’s collusion with Russia, why else would the left kick up its heels over the incredibly sparse number of times that President Trump has offered clemency? The left reflexively, if not pathologically, accuses the opposition of whatever crimes and misdeeds that they actually commit themselves.

Did Donald Trump conspire with Russia? No evidence of this exists, anywhere, and Robert Mueller and his merry band of investigators ruptured their collective spleens attempting to find any link. Andrew Weissmann is full of sour grapes, but no evidence, and God knows that the thoroughly corrupt, demented Mr. Weissmann gave it his all before clearing his cell phone along with the rest of his entire staff.

Are we to conclude that Donald Trump and his 2016 campaign staff were so across-the-board, off-the-charts brilliant that they were able to conceal a vast multi-faceted collusion with Russia, spanning many months, that Weissmann and his fellow Democrat junior pit bulls couldn’t detect with unlimited resources? ...Sure thing.

Is Trump a racist? Hardly, and as his adversaries know too well, his approval rating among all minorities has been soaring for months. The left, by contrast, as typified by Joe Biden, has introduced a variety of policies and programs over many decades that diminish the economic livelihoods and freedom of African Americans.

Did President Trump engage in quid pro quo with Ukraine? Not at all, and actually the question is silly at this point. Who did engage in quid pro quo with Ukraine? Yes, it was Joe Biden and his globetrotting son Hunter Biden.

In fact, Hunter has been the recipient of many of Joe’s quid pro quo schemes around the globe, and in recent days the accumulating evidence has been staggering.

Whether it is discussing clemency or anything else that happens on the national stage, the pattern is now quite clear to everyone who possesses even an ounce of objectivity: Virtually everything the left accuses Trump of doing, they are deeply engaged in themselves.

Entrenched and Intractable

The left’s compulsions are so entrenched that 50 to 100 years from now, when historians and sociologists study this era, they’ll likely be amazed to find that one political party invariably and perpetually accused the other of crimes and sordid activities that they themselves committed with reckless abandon.

Trump Haters Gaslighting Trump Supporters

9/25/2020 - David Limbaugh Townhall.com

It's getting scary out there, people. Everywhere you turn, Trump haters are venting their wrath against Trump supporters, as if supporting President Trump is an unforgivable sin.

They're projecting and gaslighting -- blaming Trump and his supporters for everything they're doing. It's madness, but at long last, they might have awakened the sleeping giant they're trying to hunt down and destroy.

MSNBC's Joy Reid tweeted, "Genuine question: what will be the relationship between the majority of Americans, and Trumpists after this long, national nightmare ends -- and it will eventually end -- do people anticipate simply letting bygones (be) bygones with people who joined the Trump personality cult?"

What bygones? Who's doing what to whom? What are we Trump supporters doing to you Trump haters, Joy? We are trying to mind our own business and stay safe. Are you and yours?

MSNBC's Donny Deutsch likened a Trump rally to a Hitler rally from the early '30s: "Well, basically you had a destruction of the belief in the free press. You had a blurring between the executive branch and the Justice Department. You have creating an other, whether it's Muslims, whether it's Mexicans, whether it's congressmen who weren't born in this country. And then you have the destruction of free elections. And we're here."

This is screaming insanity. Trump supporters aren't censoring people on social media. They aren't threatening their opponents' civil liberties. They aren't violating the separation of powers, which leftists routinely do, including through their activist courts and lawless executive orders (under former President Barack Obama). They're not demonizing other races, as you maliciously accuse. Quit belching that vicious slander. And they are not the ones threatening the integrity of the electoral process. The left, on the other hand, has promised to stack the Supreme Court; add territories to the union to increase its electoral prospects; circumvent the Electoral College; obliterate the integrity of the voting process through rampant unverifiable mail-in ballots and the elimination of voter ID rules; and lower the voting age to 16. Republicans aren't the ones threatening to lawlessly invoke impeachment to block Trump's lawful Supreme Court nominee.

Increasingly deranged, intolerant, hateful and unhinged actor-turned-artist Jim Carrey said, "Too many Americans support Trump because he appeals to their basest and most primitive urges." This is a direct indictment of millions of Trump supporters -- many of whom have been your fans. Tell me, Jim: What base and primitive urges do you mean? Our commitment to the Constitution, law and order, equal protection under the law for everyone, liberty, prosperity and a strong national defense? Protecting the borders to ensure orderly and legal immigration? Are these commitments racist and sexist to you, Jim? If you really believe that, you are obviously blinded into irrationality by your hatred and need of therapy and prayer. Please get the tree trunk out of your own eye. In the meantime, sketch a picture of your own dark heart.

And how about the now-famous Leo Guinan, who publicly bragged that he told his parents neither he nor his children would visit them because they had placed Trump signs in their yard. After receiving blowback for this self-indulgent and heartless act, he publicly apologized.

We have obnoxious leftist "protestors" in St. Petersburg, Florida, taking over peaceful diners' tables from restaurant to restaurant, ratcheting up the despicable practice they began a few years ago to harass Trump supporters.

And, once again, we have violent leftists rioting in the streets of Louisville, where two policemen were shot trying to keep the peace.

How can things be more surreal? I'll say it again: The left is projecting its own darkness onto Trump and his supporters. Countless leftists accuse Trump of inciting violence and hate while displaying their own intolerance and hatred and committing violence. Trump is trying to stop the violence, while Democratic governors and mayors are fanning the flames.

Fair-minded Democrats, please don't fool yourself into rationalizing that these things are happening equally on both sides of the aisle. It simply is not true. And don't fall into the insidious trap of Trump Derangement Syndrome, which now possesses large swaths of Americans because of the left's concerted effort to smear Trump and his supporters as racists for political gain.

How many Trump supporters are burning down cities, murdering cops, threatening mayhem if Joe Biden is elected, bullying Biden supporters out of restaurants, accosting people with Biden caps or yard signs, threatening to withhold their children from their Biden-supporting parents and stirring up racial disharmony throughout the nation? When have Republican lawmakers ever tried to destroy the character of a Democratic president's Supreme Court nominee?

Yes, Republicans say they're ready to defend themselves, but I know of none who are threatening to commit violence and mayhem if Trump loses.

I don't know how people can be so warped as to condemn Trump for allegedly inspiring violence simply because they don't like him, when they themselves are actually committing violence or enabling those who are. I don't know how they can rage against Trump as a dictator when he is doing nothing but exercising his lawful authority in office and appointing justices who will uphold the Constitution and rule of law, and when they are openly promising to thwart the Constitution in countless ways if they regain power. Notwithstanding the planted trick question, Trump will not resist the peaceable transition of power, but he might legally contest a stolen election. Meanwhile, prominent Democrats are promising not to accept a Trump victory -- just like they never accepted his 2016 victory.

No, Joy Reid, we Trump supporters are not part of a cult, no matter how much Trump haters have convinced themselves otherwise. But we do see him as the last best hope to restore America's greatness -- and that includes liberty, peace and security for all, not just for those who agree with us, unlike many on your side believe. We are relying on him to lawfully prevent the left's destruction of the nation, its violence and lawlessness, and its abolition of liberty.

God save the republic.
