Just in time for midterms, Joe Biden sets off the mother of migrant surges

The U.S. Border Patrol expects a record surge of migrants from 157 countries crossing our border illegally, with most presenting spurious claims to "asylum."

The Daily Mail reports:

The U.S. will see 1 million migrant encounters in the first half of Fiscal Year 2022, according to Customs and Border Protection (CBP), as the administration plans to start administering coronavirus vaccines to those in custody as it weighs ending Title 42 as early as next month.

This figure just accounts for migrants encountered, meaning there could be thousands of other 'gotaways' who evaded CBP when illegally crossing into the U.S.

Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz told Fox News that in the next few days, CBP will have encountered 1 million migrants from when the federal fiscal year started in October 2022.

Sure it's a big number — and the fiscal year is only half over.

But we ain't seen nuthin' yet.

These monster numbers come as Joe Biden has set the conditions for an even bigger surge — on two fronts.

One is in his executive order to replace immigration judges with newly created "asylum officers" brought in from the NGO open-borders ranks, to make decisions on asylum claims.  These are people you can bet will rubber-stamp all asylum claims, regardless of what the law says.

The second incentive is in Biden's expected decision to scrap Title 42, an erratically employed executive order that allows Border Patrol agents to deport illegal crossers on COVID concerns.  Based on the numbers of COVID-spreading migrants, such as in this instance here, it's pretty obvious that that order was used on only some migrants.  Now it won't be used on any of them if the rule is rescinded on May 23, which seems likely following whatever recommendation the CDC puts out as its de facto union masters direct.  The laughable claim now is that they'll offer them COVID vaccines, free of charge (to them), as if migrants who openly break the law can be trusted to come back for their second shot.  Those who refuse will be sent back, unless they file an asylum claim, in which case they'll be allowed to stay but "stringently" monitored.  Kind of like Afghan refugees being stringently vetted, right, Joe?  Kids and babies will likely be forced to take them, too — and guess who will pay the medical bills and lawsuit bills when they get vaccine injuries?  What could go wrong?

Both of those actions add up to two new incentives to cross the border illegally, just as the cartel human-smuggling networks have ramped up and improved their human-cargo pipelines, given the numbers seen.  The current forecast is 18,000 migrants a day, up from the 7,000 or so being "encountered" today.  You can bet that the numbers are going to be a hell of a lot higher than last year's 1.7 million illegal border crossings now that the risk of getting sent back is just about zero now.  It's as sure as the sun coming up.

What's interesting here, though, is that this Biden lunacy comes just as midterms are approaching.

That surge won't hurt Republicans, but it will serve as a guided missile targeted at Democrats.

And what stands out is how many Democrats, particularly from border states are clearly worried about it.

According to Fox News:

"Given the impacts that changes to Title 42 could have on border communities, border security, and migrants, we urge your administration not to make any changes to Title 42 implementation until you are completely ready to execute and coordinate a comprehensive plan that ensures a secure, orderly, and humane process at the border," Arizona Sens. Mark Kelly and Kyrsten Sinema said in a letter to President Biden last week.

There's also this from Bill Melugin of Fox News, citing a group of lawmakers which include Democrats:

That suggests panic time for Democrats in the most vulnerable geographical area for Democrats, the south Texas border corridors, which have shifted red as the human waves of human-smuggling have already inundated those regions, never mind what's coming up. 

What the intensified surge will do is remind residents that Joe Biden has no intention of shifting course, nor does he care in the least about the American communities along the border most affected by the migrant surge.  The Biden administration has been trying to hide just how many illegal migrants it's allowing in, but there's no hiding anything from the border communities at the tip of the spear, because these communities see everything. 

That's why Democrats are alarmed, and should be.  Joe Biden has basically pitched his own Democrat base over the side, and rather than try to regain the voters who are moving to other parties, he's writing the whole area off.  A border surge never bothers Joe Biden, or, for that matter, his border "czar," Kamala Harris.

But it clearly is concentrating the minds of those Democrats who are likely to be thrown out by the voters.  We are seeing noises now, but this may be nothing compared to what is to come as the surge hits record highs.

Democrats must be spitting mad at this mop in the face from senile old Joe just as they try to make their case to voters.  They may get a bit angrier than just angry enough to send stern letters to Biden, as has been done, given the size of the surge ahead of midterms.  If it gets bad enough, and they decide they don't want to be the sacrificial lambs for the Biden administration, they may withhold votes for the upcoming Supreme Court slot, or possibly break for the Republicans themselves.

We Need to Return to Common Sense Before It’s Too Late

America is experiencing a “common sense” crisis. 

During last Tuesday’s Supreme Court confirmation hearing session, nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson was asked by Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn (R) to provide a definition for the word ‘woman.’ She couldn’t. But it’s more likely that she wouldn’t.

Most sound-minded people listening to the hearings would agree that Senator Blackburn asked a simple question deserving of a simple answer, still Jackson responded, “I can’t…not in this context. I’m not a biologist.” 

Let’s be clear: a person — more specifically, a woman — on her way to being confirmed to rule in the highest court of the land should be willing and able to provide a definition for the word ‘woman.’ Let’s also be clear that while Judge Jackson may not have provided a definition, she certainly answered the question, offering comforting assurance to the progressives responsible for her nomination.  

This most recent example of “nonsense” demonstrates how left-leaning public officials seem far more concerned with appeasing the radical progressives in their party than they are with acknowledging settled truth and listening to the American people. 

For years, the American culture has been trending in a direction that embraces illogical reasoning and contradictory belief systems. We’ve recently witnessed a biological male win a NCAA women’s swimming championship, and consistently read about businesses and individuals being “canceled” for their religious beliefs. 

And Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill that was recently signed by Governor DeSantis? This bill simply prohibits schools from introducing topics related to sexuality and gender identity to children before fourth grade, allowing parents to introduce their children to complex topics, yet President Biden and his radical supporters called the bill “hateful.” 

And the absurdity doesn’t end there. 

California Governor Gavin Newsom is working hard to make it easier and cheaper for women to end the lives of their unborn babies. Just this month, he signed a bill mandating that private insurance companies cover abortion services, ensuring there would be no out-of-pocket payment for abortions throughout the state.

As we watch elected officials throw away common sense and embrace a radical agenda with more ease and regularity, some would argue that it’s already too late to turn back. But it’s never too late to fight against the current. Our actions still matter. Common sense can still win the day in this nation. But how? 

First, we need to start by speaking up — loudly and more often — against these dangerous, illogical ideas. We need to be unafraid to call a spade a spade. We need to stop worrying about offending people. We can’t fear cancel culture. We need to exercise our first amendment rights and practice what we preach. We need to fight against relativism and stand for truth. We need to remind the Biden administration and its supporters that there is a silent majority that stands for faith and freedom.

We also need to vote for common sense candidates this November. This is not a time to stand silently by and do nothing. We need to get to the polls, knock on doors, and encourage others to get out and vote for candidates that will fight for freedom and family values. The polls are showing that Americans are fed up with Democrats’ radical ideologies and unkept promises, but the polls mean nothing if we don’t show up in November. 

Finally, we need to pray for this nation. Pray for elected officials — the ones we agree with, and perhaps even more for the ones we don’t. We need to pray that truth and common sense will prevail. Prayer is powerful. After all, it’s been said that the greatest wars are fought on our knees.

So, please, speak up. Fight for truth. Vote. Pray. This nation’s future depends on it.

All the focus on Ukraine should serve as a reminder of Joe Biden’s border crisis here at home.

Record numbers of Russians have been crossing the border … between the U.S. and Mexico. The irony, of course, is Joe Biden’s focus (however bumbling) on protecting Ukraine’s border from the invading Russians while he deliberately opens our own to virtually all comers.

“To put it in context, 200,000 Russians invaded Ukraine, give or take,” writes Senate candidate J.D. Vance. “That same number illegally pours across our southern border every month.”

Vance isn’t being exact so much as he is making a point. Since Biden took over and immediately began reversing all of Donald Trump’s tough border policies, roughly two million illegals have been encountered or arrested by the Border Patrol, and no one knows how many more evaded capture. There were 164,973 encounters in February alone, a 63% increase over last February, and higher than February 2020 by 350%. That decimates the Biden administration’s previous excuse that last year’s surge was “seasonal.” Moreover, 8,600 Russians have crossed the U.S. border since August, along with 5,500 Ukrainians since October.

Now, to be fair, comparing our border with Ukraine’s is apples and oranges. Russia’s military invasion that, in just over a month, has cost thousands of Ukrainian lives and done enormous damage to the country’s infrastructure is not the same as migrants crossing into the U.S. and either escaping or being released into our interior. Vladimir Putin intends to conquer Ukraine to increase the size of his empire. Migrants into the U.S. are more often than not workers or families looking for a better life in a free country.

Of course, that’s also oversimplified. Tens of thousands of Americans are dying due to overdoses on drugs smuggled across the border. American lives and livelihoods are negatively affected by the open southern border in numerous other ways. And anyone who doesn’t think that Mexican drug cartels essentially constitute an army waging war isn’t really paying attention.

In any case, our porous southern border is a crisis and it deserves to be treated accordingly, regardless of what happens in Ukraine. Thus, Vance issued a challenge: “Republicans should demand passage of an America First border protection plan, which would provide $4 of funding for border wall completion for every $1 of aid we send to Ukraine.” Democrats will never agree to that, of course. In fact, the $1.5 trillion omnibus bill Biden recently signed included a $428 million, morale-crushing reduction in funding for the Border Patrol. The Border Patrol still reeling from Biden’s mendacious lies about horse whipping. This all speaks volumes about the Democrats’ priorities — they want more voters, not national security, and they’d rather spend your money on their own climate boondoggles.

As for Democrat voters, they appear content to replace their Joe Biden yard signs with Ukrainian flags, regardless of the fact that their man is the reason Russia felt empowered to invade in the first place, and heedless of the humanitarian crisis their man created at our own border.
