If You Think It Could Not Get Worse - It Does!

After What a Whistleblower Told Jim Jordan, the Border Crisis Is About to Get a Lot Worse

9/29/2021 - Leah Barkoukis Townhall.com

Congressman Jim Jordan is sounding the alarm about the Biden administration’s plan to fire a “significant portion” of the Customs and Border Protection workforce if they don’t get the Covid-19 vaccine.

Jordan appeared on Fox News’s “Ingraham Angle” after a whistleblower came forward alleging Border Patrol agents were given notice that they face termination if they do not receive the jab by November 2021.

The Ohio Republican pointed out that the administration is being much more lenient with illegal immigrants who are flooding the Southern border.

“The people who have been busting their tails, enforcing our law, doing their job on the border, they’re gonna get fired if they don’t take the vaccine,” Jordan said. “Meanwhile, for people who break the law and come in here, no big deal, your choice [to take the vaccine], it’s up to you. That is how ridiculous the Biden administration has become.”

Earlier in the day, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was asked by lawmakers what their approach to vaccinating illegal immigrants is, and he told them the illegal immigrants are asked if they want it—that taking the Covid vaccine is their choice.

“This is ridiculous and the American people know it’s ridiculous,” Jordan said, pointing out that Border Patrol is already suffering.

“For years and through multiple administrations, it has been difficult to recruit and retain men and women to service in the U.S. Border Patrol,” he said in a letter to Mayorkas. “The locations of the job are typically remote and the job is often dangerous and hard”—especially when senior administration officials spread “false accusations of cruelty” about the mounted officers in Del Rio, Texas.

Jordan could only conclude that the Biden administration’s approach to the border—ending construction of the border wall, stopping the Remain in Mexico policy, and now firing unvaccinated agents “is deliberate.”

“If that isn’t this goal of a borderless hemisphere, if that isn’t deliberate, I don’t know what is,” he told host Laura Ingraham. “So this is again what is so scary, what is so frightening about this administration, this is what they must want because there is no other conclusion a rational person can reach.”

Biden Border Policy - The Total Transformation of the USA - MUST End Immediately!

Wrong Kind of Crackdown at Border

9/29/2021 - John and Andy Schlafly Townhall.com

“I promise you, those people will pay,” President Biden declared about images from our country’s southern border near Del Rio, Texas. “There is an investigation underway right now and there will be consequences.”

“Horses running them over, people being strapped,” Biden continued, with rising indignation. “It sends the wrong message around the world. It’s simply not who we are.”

Not to be outdone, Vice President Kamala Harris declared that the images evoked “some of the worst moments of our history where that kind of behavior has been used against the indigenous people of our country, has been used against African Americans during times of slavery.” She warned sternly: “There needs to be consequences.”

What were the images that roused the president to a fury, “outraged” the vice president, and “horrified” the secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas? Merely photos of U.S. Border Patrol agents mounted on horseback, using reins to control their animals in the hilly terrain where over 20,000 migrants had just crossed the Rio Grande.

Even liberal CNN wondered how the agents could be treated fairly by an investigation to be conducted at the “highest levels,” as Secretary Mayorkas promised, after the president had already condemned them.

Biden should be cracking down on the illegal aliens crossing the border, not the good agents trying to stem the tide of lawlessness. Yet Biden vows to punish agents on horseback for using reins to control the government’s own horses amid a chaotic flow of illegal aliens.

Biden’s open border policy has resulted in 14,000 illegals camped under the international bridge connecting Texas to Mexico, while tens of thousands more are on the way to join them. There is no Covid testing for illegals without severe symptoms, while law-abiding American citizens are subjected to dehumanizing weekly testing as punishment for declining the experimental Covid vaccine.

These hordes of illegals are supposed to remain in Mexico while their applications for admission are considered, under a wise policy established by President Trump and reaffirmed last month by a 6-3 vote of the U.S. Supreme Court. Ken Paxton, the Trump-endorsed Texas Attorney General, filed a new motion last Thursday to enforce the federal court decision to restore the Trump-era Migrant Protection Protocols.

“I think they’re just trying to keep ignoring federal law, keep ignoring the Supreme Court ruling,” Ken Paxton said about the Biden Administration. It doesn’t care “about all the orders from the courts, including the Supreme Court.”

By vowing to punish border patrol agents who protect us against foreign intruders, Biden sends the wrong message that every other law enforcement officer should stand down. Why would any official risk his own job and perhaps even his freedom if Biden is going to prosecute them afterwards for enforcing the law?

The reported numbers of illegals are daunting. They include the 20,000 Haitians who recently crossed at Del Rio; 100,000 Afghans, whose resettlement Nancy Pelosi just funded with $6.3 billion; and more than 1,000,000 illegals who have surged across the southern border since Biden began occupying the White House.

These numbers can change election outcomes, which seems to be exactly what the Democrats want. Many of the refugees are being resettled in battleground states, where the margin of difference in a pivotal election can be merely a few thousand votes.

The Greyhound bus company has been punished by a $2.2 million liability for allowing federal agents to board its buses looking for illegal migrants. That was the amount of the settlement announced Monday by Washington’s leftwing attorney general, Bob Ferguson, who brags that he sued President Trump 83 times in four years.

Why are there so many illegals in Washington state, which is about as far from the southern border as any state in the continental United States? The buses were traveling from Spokane to Portland, Oregon, and border patrol agents were finding illegal aliens on those buses.

No search warrant was needed because Greyhound, which owned the buses, had consented. Cooperating with the police is not something for which anyone should be fined, and law-abiding citizens riding the buses had nothing to worry about.

Now those illegals will receive a payment from the settlement, despite being illegally on a bus, while Greyhound is being compelled not to allow federal agents on its buses to enforce the law. That restriction will encourage more unlawful immigration.

Greyhound’s private property, like that of ranchers near the border, is being taken by the insatiable demands of the open border zealots. Greyhound should be able to consent to searches of its buses for illegals, many of whom are dangerous to others as confirmed by a report of 96 sexual assaults against migrants in Panama in May and June.

President Biden created this border crisis, and should not be scapegoating the border patrol. The crackdown should be against illegals, not officers doing their job.

Our Once Great Republic Has Become a Democrat 'Hell Hole' - Open Borders, Financial Collapse, Foreign and Domestic Diplomatic Failure!

Life Along the Border Collapses

9/28/2021 - Salena Zito Townhall.com

Take all of the imagery you have seen of the over 14,000 Haitian migrants camped under an international bridge in the small Texas border town of Del Rio and add the complications of disease, public excrement, unbearable heat and heightened frustrations. It has led to violence that has injured Border Patrol officers.

Now close your eyes and imagine it is 100 times worse.

Because that's what it is, said Texas Rep. Tony Gonzales, the freshman Republican who represents 42% of the border. The overwhelmed city of Del Rio had been in a rapidly deteriorating crisis situation when illegal immigrants first began surging into the community in January, but Gonzales now says the situation here is a "Category 5" and that the environment is unlike anything he has ever seen before.

"I arrived here today to pure chaos," he said. "I've never seen it in this environment. There literally is no border left."

Gonzales said Del Rio is in dire straits. "There's no doubt there's COVID here, there's measles, tuberculosis, all kinds of diseases," he said. "You've got kids running around in nothing but diapers. A handful of port-a-potties -- my God, the stench is terrible. This is not good for the migrants. It is not good for the residents. It's not good for wherever our government is sending them in the interior of the country."

Despite the Department of Homeland Security insisting repeatedly the Haitians would be deported, as of Tuesday, it had only removed 1,000 of the estimated 15,000 under the bridge. Multiple news organizations including CNN reported that buses have been escorting them to a nonprofit organization in town where they purchase bus or plane tickets. They are then moved to a gas station where buses pick them up and take them to other parts of the country.

The Washington Post reported that the number is in the thousands of those released to parts unknown in the interior of the country.

"My takeaway after I walked through it all, I look over at the sector chief, and I go, 'Man, I just feel sad.' He goes, 'I know. Everyone just feels beaten here,'" Gonzales said.

Del Rio residents have seen their lives turned upside down. The international bridge has been closed -- a lifeline bringing tens of millions of dollars to the local economy. If you're a small-business owner and your business has somehow survived COVID-19, something like this could easily wipe you out.

Everybody has been sucked into this chaos.

"The worst thing is that we are not even talking about the other places where this is happening," Gonzales said. "Today, we're talking about Del Rio, but tomorrow, it'll be Laredo or Brownsville or Eagle Pass or El Paso. This problem is not going away."

Gonzales said he asked the chief of Border Patrol, Raul Ortiz, at a Homeland Security Committee hearing about its surge of agents to Del Rio. "Those agents are coming from somewhere," he said. "And my worry is other sectors are going to be weakened, thus creating a national security crisis, putting us at risk in other sectors, because everyone is focusing on Del Rio."

Ortiz agreed. He also confirmed that reports were true that migrants had assaulted Border Patrol agents -- five of them, to be exact.

It is hard to imagine that this scene is playing out in America. It is also hard to imagine that our government has failed to secure the border or address this crisis with the seriousness it deserves.

Which is what makes the other part of this crisis political: Until a photo of a Border Patrol agent on horseback herding migrants back over the Rio Grande to Mexico was circulated on Twitter, Democrats, journalists and the White House had almost completely ignored or downplayed the 15,000 people who had been living in squalor under the bridge.

Blue-check Twitter cried foul, claiming that the agent's long reins were whips and absurdly likening the image to that of a white overseer whipping a slave. Suddenly, not only did press secretary Jen Psaki and the vice president notice, but they along with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the White House press corps fabricated a story about Del Rio -- not about the appalling migrant crisis, but about how racist the Border Patrol is.

That story has been debunked, and to date, there are no reports that any migrant was ever "whipped" by agents.

It irks Gonzales that Border Patrol agents, who risk their lives and are coming under immense pressure right now, are having their actions and motives unfairly impugned. "They see their jobs as patriotic," the former Navy cryptologist said. "They know they are both protecting their community as well as their country."

The Biden administration and Washington Democrats' blind eye to this crisis have already had an impact politically. Hints of the future may have cropped up in last year's election, when majority-Hispanic areas rejected the Biden campaign's rhetoric that former President Donald Trump's handling of the border was racist.

Texans pummeled President Joe Biden in several border counties, with large numbers of Hispanic voters going for Trump. That shift away from Democrats may grow given the handling of the border. Already this summer, Republicans unexpectedly won two big mayoral elections in border towns that are overwhelmingly Hispanic and historically Democratic.

And it is not just South Texas Hispanics who are running away from Biden and by default from the Democrats. It is all Texas Hispanics. Last week, a Dallas Morning News/University of Texas-Tyler poll showed that Biden's approval rating with Hispanics in Texas is 19 points underwater, with only 35% approving of the job he is doing and a whopping 54% disapproving. There may be a realignment in the works.

In short, while white liberals in Washington think that using words like "Latinx" matters to the Hispanic community or connects them with its values, they are ignoring a crisis that deeply affects middle-class Hispanic families. They justifiably worry about their safety and their ability to pursue prosperity. The Democrats' oblivious lack of concern for their real-world concerns is already backfiring.

Maybe if one of them, any of them, spent a few days living in a border town, the party would understand just how dire and dangerous life there has become.

Illegal Immigration - 'Creates a Diverse Tribal Pot of Warring Identity Groups'

Leftists force mass Third World immigration by deceiving us into feeling guilty

By M. E. Boyd www.americanthinker.com

Milton Friedman, the economist, was such a libertarian that he supported open borders. However, there was a caveat to this support: “It’s just obvious you can't have free immigration and a welfare state.” It’s obvious, of course, because having both spells imminent national bankruptcy. But that’s exactly what leftists are selling to America and they’re using false historic narratives to create in native-born Americans a sense of guilt so profound that they’re willingly opening the borders to those who will irrevocably drain the nation’s wealth.

In a recent article, Guilt: The Source of Sorrow in America’s Classrooms, I said that, as long as the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution grants full due process and equal protection rights to anyone who touches the soil of a state, America cannot keep creating massive welfare rights at unthinkable costs without bankrupting the nation.

I used the Individuals With Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), 1990, amended in 2004, as an example of rights that must be granted to illegal alien children, even if they’re not claiming refugee or asylum status, if they are physically within the jurisdiction of a state and are deemed children “with a disability.” States have a legal duty to identify such children and make sure that they receive an Individualized Education Plan, including the often expensive “related” services.

To the average American, this makes no sense. How is it that efforts to assist Americans in their personal development (children and/or adults), that American taxpayers fund, are mandated to extend to anyone who simply rams his or her way into the country illegally?

The answer lies, in part, in the serious mental disconnect now popularized in our society between what we see with our own eyes (reality); what we have experienced in our lives (the empirical); what common sense tells us (a type of truth); and what is said that we are seeing, experiencing, and knowing. We are being told that all of this is rightful—an expression of our values. It is no such thing.

There is a body of American thinkers and leaders who view the actual as merely a construct of language. For these persons, 12,000 people under a bridge in Texas sheltered from the sun by sticks and rags do not really exist. The Secretary of Homeland Security stands right there, at the site, in front of a microphone, and says, “The border is closed.” “Do not come to America; you will be deported.” The White House Press Secretary says, at a White House briefing, that “these people have no intention of staying, so do not need COVID-19 tests or vaccinations.”

Many commentators are calling these statements “lies” as they are patently false—but these are not lies to those making the statements. Some human beings are actually capable of constructing a reality by simply saying that the reality exists. At one time, the community assessment would be that a person or persons with this condition might be delusional or laughable. Imagine if the White House Press corps simply started laughing at the notion that 1.5 million people who have illegally entered the United States are “just visiting.”

Many in the Executive Branch of the federal government have been gripped by this out-of-mind condition that translates what they want to see into what they do see. We’ve heard variations of all these statements: “The withdrawal from Afghanistan was very well done—a huge success.” “The Taliban are our Afghan partners. They have assured us of an inclusive government.” We will leave no American behind.” “Our predecessor made us do it.”

The answer lies, also, in the 14th Amendment’s wording, which cannot be changed except through the constitutional amendment process in Article V. All persons born in the United States are citizens of the United States and the state where they reside. This 1868 Amendment meant to attach citizenship to both free blacks and former slaves. It was meant to overturn the 1857 Dred Scott v. Sanford decision that denied citizenship to black Americans.

Just to make that point, rights were extended to “persons” in each state, not just citizens. (“[N]or shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property ... nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the law.”) This language was a deliberate creation of Senator Lyman Trumball of Illinois and ratified by 3/4 of the states still in the Union. The import of the Amendment’s language today is that the enormous welfare state we have created at the federal level, with trillions more proposed, automatically grants non-citizens (“persons”) these same rights. The nation cannot avoid bankruptcy.

In addition to the powerful in government deliberately constructing their own reality, we have an immigration law on the books (the 1965 Hart-Celler Act) that deliberately allows mass immigration by people raised in cultures that make it hard to assimilate to our Rule of Law, even while it bans immigration for those who comfortably assimilate. The effect of Hart-Celler is that the white majority has been reduced to 60% of the population and will be at 48% by 2055.

It’s not about skin color, though. It’s about common values. Instead of a “melting pot” culture based on careful assimilation, we are deliberately creating a “tribal pot” of diverse and warring identity groups. And to get the majority to go along with such a scheme, those constructing their own reality just invent history out of whole cloth—and teach it to the non-thinking—that creates guilt trips in the majority. This begins in preschool so that, by the end of the day, the self-loathing is so elevated that the white majority is thankful they have been replaced.

On a practical level, because it is so hard to amend the 14th Amendment, Congress must replace Hart-Celler with a statute that includes a breathing period of several years to assess the damage Hart-Celler has created in our society. Just stop immigration for a period of time. If Hart-Celler is allowed to go on, then Congress must end large federal welfare legislation, because our immigration system has collapsed and those pouring into the country will be entitled to the largesse of the taxpayers of America. That largesse will run out.

Guilt is the source of sorrow. It is the fiend with whips and slings that follows behind us. The true reality for Americans and all Western Civilization is that we are founded on a truth, not an idea or ideas that can swing wildly over time. That truth is that God exists, God is essential, and that His rules for a rightful society are not open to construction by the delusional. To begin to fix this collapse of our society we need to turn to Him now.
