Non-citizens, primarily illegal aliens have no right to vote in our elections - period!

NJ governor forced to admit hundreds of foreigners voted in elections after Dems claimed no problem

The applicants correctly indicated that they were not U.S. citizens, according to Sherrill, but the system accidentally recorded them as citizens.

New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill is blaming a software glitch in the state's motor vehicle system for accidentally registering 6,660 noncitizens to vote.

She further acknowledged Tuesday as many as 400 of those foreigners voted in recent election despite a legal ban on foreigners voting in federal elections.

The admission came less than a week after President Donald Trump gave a primetime address presenting evidence of election vulnerabilities, including hundreds of thousands of noncitizens who made it on voter rolls, spy agency concerns about voting machine security and a Chinese effort to obtain American voter data.

Sherrill was among those Democrats to deride the speech. But on Tuesday she had to reverse course and acknowledge the problem with noncitizens registering and voting in her state.

The applicants correctly indicated that they were not U.S. citizens, according to Sherrill, but the system accidentally recorded them as citizens.

The error occurred under the previous administration of Gov. Phil Murphy, a fellow Democrat, and about 400 of those who were mistakenly registered to vote cast ballots, Sherrill said.

"These individuals answered 'no' when asked on a keypad whether they were a U.S. citizen when applying for drivers' licenses and identification cards, but through no fault of their own, the system registered them anyway," Sherrill said.

"Our preliminary analysis shows fewer than 400 individuals who were newly registered for the first time because of the error voted," the governor said. "They were registered as Democrats, Republicans and Unaffiliated voters and were scattered across the state."

"I am appalled by the reckless failures that allowed this to happen and the lack of transparency shown by those in charge at the time," she said.

Illegal aliens must not be allowed to roam free while waiting for a court hearing. Sounds logical!

Federal appeals court pauses lower court order on releasing illegal migrants into US without hearing

The unsigned order centers on three men in Texas who were arrested by state troopers between November 2025 and February 2026 during routine traffic stops.

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday stayed lower court rulings regarding the release of three illegal migrants into the United States while the courts debate whether the men have a constitutional right to bond hearings.

The unsigned order centers on three men in Texas who were arrested by state troopers between November 2025 and February 2026 during routine traffic stops.

The three men, identified as Ignacio Sosnava Rodriguez, Miguel Angel Gomez Alvarado and Alejandro Villegas Angel, have been released back into the country after multiple courts blocked the Trump administration from holding migrants for more than 90 days without giving them an opportunity to ask for release on bond while deportation proceedings are pending.

The latest order clears the way for the three men to be taken back into immigration custody, according to Bloomberg.

"The full Fifth Circuit has issued an extraordinary precedential order making clear that illegal aliens do not have a constitutional right to roam free in the United States during their removal proceedings," Assistant Attorney General for the Justice Department's Civil Division Brett Shumate said on X.

The case has the potential to impact thousands of migrants who are being held in Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities in states within the court's jurisdiction, including Texas and Louisiana.

The SCOTUS must return to its Constitutional 'guidelines'. When this happens, is anyone's guess.

Is our border a game of red rover?

Trump v. Barbara slammed down the gauntlet on birthright citizenship and the meaning of the 14th Amendment.

Daniel Mynyk | July 20, 2026 www.americanthinker.com

The Supreme Court turned our border into a children’s game. Trump v. Barbara slammed down the gauntlet on birthright citizenship and the meaning of the 14th Amendment. Three swing conservatives joined the three liberals, making American citizens of anyone born on our soil. Few are surprised, but many are furious.

Justice Thomas said that history disagrees that the 14th Amendment grants birthright citizenship. “Domicile” status, he argued in his dissent, tells where someone is “subject to the jurisdiction thereof.” Chief Justice Roberts, however, likes to avoid drastic changes. Barrett may let her nurturing instincts influence her decisions. Kavanaugh seemed more like a double agent leaking a rescue maneuver. With a 6-3 ruling (arguably 5.5-3.5) the black-robed nine officially made the border a game of red rover.

When I was in elementary school, red rover was a favorite recess pastime for my insecure male ego. The rowdy playground game splits players into two teams. They form horizontal lines about 30 feet apart and face each other. Players in each team link hands to form a wall. One team picks a member of the other to run at them and try to smash through their grip.

“Red rover, red rover, let Daniel come over!” they yell. I charge like an angry bull from my team, looking for a weak link in theirs. If I split two hands, I could pick a victim to join my team. If I fail, I must join the other team. The teams alternate until one team fully assimilates the other.

What does red rover have to do with a Supreme Court ruling? A secure border where the rule book itself promises a prize for breaking it. In Mullin v. Al Otro Lado, the Court determined asylum claims must begin inside the United States. In Mullin v. Doe they ruled that the President could end Temporary Protected Status for some Haitians and Syrians. Temporary, it turns out, actually means temporary. The original protection for both groups was 18 months. After a decade and a half, the high court ruled these refugees can return to their homelands. Their original emergencies are long over. Debates aside, laws can mean what they say.

These two decisions gave a hat tip to stronger border and immigration control. That brings us back to birthright citizenship. Three of the justices who nodded for stronger borders shook their heads at protecting citizenship from foreign exploitation. The Constitution, we must infer, allows even foreign terrorists to give birth to new American citizens. The border is now officially a game!

How do we square Trump v. Barbara with Mullin v. Doe? The Haitians and Syrians who came temporarily aren’t citizens, but many have had children. Those children are now citizens. Because the children aren’t naturalized, the government can’t denaturalize and deport them. Their parents, who must leave. now have a choice. They can go without their children, which would be inhumane. The government may strongly suggest that they take their children with them, but can’t require it.

With court decisions stepping on each other, immigration enforcement looks more like a game of red rover. We can try to hold the line at the border. If we catch invaders, we may send them back. But if they penetrate and give birth, they’ve won the game. A child could be born in the United States, grow up in another country, and use this dual citizenship to try to influence their birthplace. Too many of these with foreign interests could strain cultural unity.

Because of a language loophole in the 14th Amendment, national security is like a game of red rover. But, unlike the real game, this version is rigged against our side. Our team has less reason to send runners. We don’t get to pick who should “come over.” If our team holds the line, we often have to wait out a long process to get that runner to leave.

If a runner breaks through our line, he doesn’t have to add anyone to his team. He can still join ours while playing for the other. When the next comes charging, our new team member may release his grip and welcome his colleague.

As the game progresses, our team grows, but the other is secretly gaining control. Because this country is forced to play a game, our immigration policy is only skin deep. We’re allowed to enforce the border, but the team captain could change every four years.

Since the Supreme Court ruling, supporters and opponents have begun their plays. A Texas hospital tried to make money from “birth tourism.” President Trump demanded the Court rehear the case, declaring “AMERICAN CITIZENSHIP IS NOT FOR SALE!” Strange new rules, like preventing pregnant foreigners from visiting, are now on the table. An ICE shooting in Houston and another in Biddeford, Maine, have only cranked up the heat over how to handle rule breakers. We now turn to Congress to level the playing field while hoping this game of red rover ends in our favor.

Some interesting and disturbing statistics in this important post.

Illegal border crossings remain historically low in June, drug seizures up

Last month, 31,626 illegal border crossers were apprehended nationwide, according to the latest U.S. Customs and Border Protection data.

Illegal border crossings remained historically low in June, continuing a trend under the Trump administration.

Last month, 31,626 illegal border-crossers were apprehended nationwide, according to the latest U.S. Customs and Border Protection data. The number is up by 6,500 from last June and down by more than 173,000 from June 2024, according to the data.

The total excludes "gotaways" – those who illegally enter between ports of entry to evade capture. Similar to the Biden administration, the Trump administration is not publicly releasing gotaway data. It remains unclear how many are still illegally entering the country.

Apprehensions at the southwest border states of Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas totaled 12,901 last month, according to the data.

Between ports of entry, Border Patrol apprehended 9,848 last month, another record low. That’s 94% less than the monthly average during the Biden administration and 96% less than during the peak reported at the southwest border in December 2023.

The Border Patrol apprehension total was also less than the number that agents apprehended in just four days in June 2024.

Border Patrol apprehensions between ports of entry along the southwest border this fiscal year through June were also 14% lower than they were in just one month on average from fiscal years 1992 through 2024, CBP notes.

At the northern border, 4,952 illegal border crossers were apprehended, the highest they’ve been all year. The total is still a significant drop from the Biden era when a record 18,569 were apprehended in June 2023.

During the Biden administration, a record number of illegal border crossers were apprehended at the northern border, including the greatest number of suspected or known terrorists on a federal watchlist, The Center Square reported.

While apprehensions remained low, drug seizures increased last month.

CBP seizures of cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl and marijuana (combined by weight) increased by 49% from June 2024, according to CBP data.

By fiscal year, drug seizures increased by 57% from fiscal 2024. The fiscal year goes from Oct. 1 through Sept. 30.

Cocaine seizures increased the most last month – by 71% from May. CBP officers seized 6,242 pounds of cocaine nationwide. Heroin and fentanyl seizures also increased by 49% and 42%, respectively, over the same time period. CBP agents seized 68 pounds of heroin and 1,072 pounds of fentanyl last month.

“Leadership and policy matter," CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott said when announcing the data. "When laws are enforced, fewer people will break the law.”

Under the Trump administration, CBP “is fully enforcing our immigration and border security laws,” he continued. This includes establishing “meaningful border security resulting in sustained deterrence of illegal crossings. CBP is preventing dangerous criminal aliens and illicit narcotics from entering our communities, enhancing the safety of every American for generations to come.”

The Department of Homeland Security again announced June was the 14th consecutive month “of zero releases at the border.”

CBP data contradicts this claim. Every month, unaccompanied alien children (UACs) are released into the country. Fiscal year to date, at least 1,000 UACs were reported illegally entering the country, according to CBP data.

According to federal data, 1,796 UACs were in federal care in June, down from 2,460 in January. More than 1,200 have been released to sponsors this fiscal year through the beginning of June, with the majority sent to California and Texas, according to the latest data.

In fiscal 2025, more than 24,200 UACs were sent to sponsors in the U.S. instead of being returned to their family in their home country.

That total is down from more than 99,000 UACs sent to live with sponsors in the U.S. in fiscal 2024 and more than 113,000 in fiscal 2023. At the height of the border crisis, more than 127,000 UACs were sent to live with sponsors in fiscal 2022. The program overseeing their care has not been terminated by Congress or the Trump administration.

Child advocates have called for the program to be terminated and for greater regulatory oversight in states, citing extensive abuse and lack of vetting. Even though the Trump administration has implemented some reforms, facilitating UAC illegal entry into the country is ongoing.
