COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM

It's officially titled "The Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act of 2013 (S.744)"

 It doesn't make our border more secure. CBP cannot do its job now because it has its hands tied behind their back by restrictions and regulations from DHS. CBP Air & Marine (A&M) is the world largest civilian Law Enforcement Agency with 260 aircraft and 300 maritime seacraft and 21,370 CBP Agents with an annual budget of near $12 Billion. Yet more than a million illegal aliens continue to invade our nation every year.

It reduces economic opportunity for millions of Americans.  A make-shift E-Verify requirement doesn’t take full effect until 5 years after passage of the bill. There are near 26 million unemployed or under-employed American workers, 11 states have more people on some form of welfare than they do employed. Can you imagine 33 million additional laborers within 10 years? On top of that, chain migration will totally change our nation’s culture and traditional way of life.

It definitely is not a modernization act. Take a look at S.1639/1348 of 2007, similar qualifications, requirements and stipulations. Only the titles, phrases and explanations have been changed to fit present circumstances.

With tens of millions of Americans unemployed, why do we need foreign labor/families, legal or illegal? We all know the answer to that question. But it's really not about that.  It's about transforming the United States; it's about changing the demographics of the United States. Yes, it’s all about demographics. According to Senator Lindsay Graham, “…We’re in a demographic death spiral as a party, and the only way to get back in the good graces with the Hispanic community, in my view, is to pass comprehensive immigration reform”.

Consequences of passage of S.744:  (1) A rapid increase in the silent invasion of illegal aliens to reap the benefits of amnesty. (2) Those receiving Resident Provision Immigrant (RPI) status will be eligible for “Affirmative Action”. Is that acceptable? Of course not! (3) If you thought low paid/skilled American citizens have it rough now, just wait until they compete with millions of RPI recipients. (4) The demographic increase of 11-33 million people; will over-run our schools, clinics and highways, increase crime, drugs and violence.  Life in the good ‘ol USA will never be the same. According to Senator Graham it’s all for the good of the Republican Party.

Are you angry yet? We are scampering on the tossing deck of the USS United States of America with our children in tow to find a lifeboat, but they are all gone, not a one in sight. It’s time for alternate measures!

Okay, you say there is no need to worry about such trivialities. Then consider your favorite cause. Is it the national debt? The cost of this proposed 1,100 page amnesty is $6.3 Trillion. Is your cause limited government? This proposed amnesty will massively increase our welfare state and impose numerous government rules and regulations. It’s also loaded with pork and special waivers.

If you are concerned enough to do something, click on this link and click on any State and write an email message or make a phone call. Some suggestions include all Utah elected officials, House Speaker John Boehner from Ohio, Senator Rubio from Florida and Senator Schumer from N. Y. 

For their hard work to amend the legislation, please consider sending a Thank You to Senator Sessions from Alabama, Senator Cruz from Texas, and Senator Grassley from Iowa.
